Clothes, toys and bunny blanket . . .

I sent my first care package today! It will probably take about a week to get there. I have included some cute summer clothes, few toys, a bunny blanket ( i hope she will sleep with) and a fun, soft photo album with each one of our pictures in it! It's made for babies to play and chew. And, I copied the chinese symbols for : mom, dad, big brother, big sister and family next to the pictures so the foster mother can read it to her!

Plus, I included a few gifts for the Program III Agency handling the adoption in Taiwan and for the foster mother, including a disposable camera! Hopefully the foster mother can take some good pictures of her as she grows. :)

Look at those big beautiful brown eyes will ya? We are at the point of not wanting life to go faster but in this case we will make an exception. We can't wait!
Love and kisses,

Looks like a good package and real close to what we sent. It's fun putting these together isn't it?

We strongly recommend recording a CD with your voices on it. After we picked up Megan, this CD was one of the few things that would comfort her on her transition from foster mom to us. Apparently the foster mom played it for her a lot. We posted how we did the CDs on our blog - back in January I think - if your interested how we did it.

Cheers,

Kevin

Oh Nicole, this is all so exciting!!! Han is just beautiful! Isn't it fun to send the first care package? I'm glad you sent the photo album--and how very, very cool that you wrote the characters down for family--and the camera. Those were two wins with Noe and her foster family. Which, by the way, I was SO glad to hear the reassuring words from the other adoptive parents that Han is in good hands. As Noe has settled right in and continues to be a total delight, we continue to praise God that she was with the foster family she was with.

Big hugs!!!
Lia

I just saw Kevin's comment too, about the recording, and totally agree. We recorded our voices (songs, reading, talking about our day) on a mini tape recorder and sent it (CD would have been easier! ;-)) and I think that made a difference as well.

xo! Lia
